Winterboro High School 22435 Alabama Highway 21 Alpine, Alabama 35014 256-315-5390 felisha.greene@tcboe.orgFelisha Greene is excited to join the WHS family as the new Technology Integration Specialist, Title 1 Coordinator, and Parent Involvement Coordinator. Before coming to Winterboro, she was the band director at Lincoln High School and Charles R. Drew Middle School in Lincoln, Alabama, for 19 years. Under her direction, both the marching and concert bands have consistently received superior ratings at contests and festivals. In addition to directing these bands, she also led the jazz band and various middle school ensembles and taught music appreciation classes. Mrs. Greene has consistently incorporated problem-based learning, STEAM, and the Engineering Design Process in all her classes to increase engagement, promote rigor, and maximize student success.
Mrs. Greene holds a Bachelor of Music in Flute Performance and a Master of Music Education from Samford University. She is also Orff certified at Levels I and II. Additionally, she will earn her Instructional Leadership Certification in May, further enhancing her skills and qualifications for her new role.
In recognition of her excellence in teaching, Mrs. Greene received the Lincoln High School Golden Apple Award in 2020 and the Golden Crest Award from Drew Middle School in 2022. Most recently, she was honored as Lincoln High School's 2024 nominee for Alabama Teacher of the Year.
Outside of school, Mrs. Greene enjoys spending time with her family. She is the wife of Benjamin and the mother of Brendon, Makayla, Olivia, and Jaxon. As a member of Cropwell Baptist Church, she finds joy in her faith community. In her free time, she loves reading and playing the flute professionally throughout the state.
