Principal

Mr. Grayson Lawrence is  Principal at Winterboro High School in Talladega County. Prior to becoming Principal, Mr. Lawrence served as Assistant Principal for 5 years. Mr. Lawrence taught Beginning Band, Junior High Band, and High School Band and was the Co-Creator of OPUS - a collaborative class combining the 7th grademath curriculum and fine arts at Winterboro. Mr. Lawrence completed both his Bachelors and Masters of Arts in Music Education at JacksonvilleState University. He completed a Masters in Instructional Leadership from Samford University in 2014 and most recently completed his Educational Specialist degree in Leadership from The University of Montevallo. He was the 2011-2012 High School Teacher of the Year recipient at Winterboro High. One of his mostprestigious achievements was receiving the Middle School Chiquita Marbury Technology Innovation Award in 2014 as well as the University of Montevallo Graduate Alumni of the Year. Mr. Lawrence resides in Birmingham, Alabama and is a member of  Asbury United Methodist Church. He is a charter member of Alabama Winds in Birmingham, Alabama, and plays horn. His greatest passion is to learn with others sharing this joy with students.
